| Job Description: |
The City of Pullman is accepting applications for the position of Instrumentation and Control Technician. This position is responsible for maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of a wide variety of electronic equipment typically used in a municipal environment. The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of the techniques and principles used in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of three (3) phase motor controls, various communication protocols, configuration of PID controllers, calibration of analytical equipment electronic and/or electrical control circuits; the ability to perform repair work; the ability to implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program. |
| Preferred Skills: |
Qualifications include: high school diploma or GED plus two to five years experience working with electronic equipment and/or electrical controls. Graduation from a recognized electronics trade school is desired. A basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC)s and common PLC I/O devices used to monitor flow rates, liquid levels, temperature, and the status of discrete switches is desirable. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. |
