Neill Public Library welcomes Washington Poets in Conversation
Monday October 12, the Neill Public Library welcomes Elizabeth Austen, 2014-16 Washington State Poet
Laureate, for a reading and Q&A session. Austen’s debut collection, Every Dress a Decision, was a finalist for
the Washington State Book Award. She is also the author of two chapbooks, The Girl Who Goes Alone and
Where Currents Meet.

Joining Ms. Austen will be local poet Kimberly Burwick, a published author in her own right, whose awardwinning works include Horses in the Cathedral and Has No Kinsmen. Burwick teaches creative writing at Washington State University and lives in Moscow.

Books will be for sale at the event, and the library also has copies of both authors’ books available to check
out! Join us for a night of poetry and conversation Monday, October 12, at 6pm.
This program is supported by Humanities Washington and Washington State Arts Commission. For more
