CHILD IDENTIFICATION – AMBER ALERT DAY EVENT

PULLMAN – In collaboration with the Daily Grind, the Pullman Police Department will be holding its 4th annual Child Identification - Amber Alert Day event on Saturday, June 9, 2012.  The event will be held from 10 am to 1 pm at the Daily Grind & Licks at 226 E Main St. in downtown Pullman.

Police Officers will be available to take fingerprints, photographs and DNA swabs of children.  These identifiers will be placed into packets and given immediately to parents.  None of the items will be retained by the Police Department.

This is an important event for parents to attend so they can have this information readily available to assist law enforcement if needed.  Even if these items were provided at a previous event, we recommend that parents collect them regularly to ensure that usable identifiers are available.

The Child Identification event in downtown Pullman is free of charge and all children participating will receive a free ice cream cone from Licks.  For more information contact Pullman Police Officer Shane Emerson at (509) 334-0802.
