Pullman & Whitman County Emergency Alert System

PULLMAN – How will you find out about city and county-wide emergencies and disasters? Information is your lifeline. From fires and severe weather events to evacuation notifications, you need information to make the best decisions for you and your family.

Your safety is our top concern. Early warning helps save lives and property. That’s why the City of Pullman and Whitman County are working together to make sure you know about emergencies and disasters as they happen.

The City of Pullman and Whitman County will use the Everbridge Mass Notification system for Emergency Alerts to let you know about issues that may affect your safety. The Everbridge system will allow the city and county to contact thousands of residents in seconds so you find out about an emergency right away.

When the City or County issues a message about a potential safety hazard or other emergency, messages will be sent to voice and text communication devices, land line phones, cell phones, email, TTY devices, and more. If you don’t confirm receipt of the message, the system will try to reach any additional contact numbers you provide until notification is made.

The success of this service relies on YOU. Having your latest contact information is the only way to ensure that we can contact you in an emergency. Please register your contact information as soon as possible. Registering is easy and only takes a few minutes. Emergency Alerts can deliver messages to you anyway you want—on your home phone, cell phone, email, and more; you decide. The contact information will only be used for the purposes of emergency notifications.
