Puffin Glass Burglary

PULLMAN – At approximately 4:45 am on Thursday, April 17, 2014, Pullman Police officers responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress at Puffin Glass, 305 S. Grand Ave., Pullman. The store owner called 911 after the alarm company notified him of a burglary alarm activation at the location. The owner accessed the live security cameras located inside the store and observed subjects inside.

Pullman officers established a perimeter around the business and received no response when officers repeatedly called for any occupants to exit the store.  The Whitman County Regional SWAT team was activated and subsequently made entry at about 8:00 am and discovered that the suspects apparently had fled prior to the arrival of the first officers on scene.  McKenzie Street near Grand Ave. was closed for about three hours and a portion of Grand Ave. in front of the business was closed for about thirty minutes during the SWAT operation.  Pullman Police investigators are following up on leads including a vehicle found to the front of the business.  Anyone with any information about the identity of the suspects in this case are asked to call the Pullman Police Department at (509) 334-0802.
